The daffodils, too late for Mother's Day, are bursting with colour and tulips and spring-flowering bulbs are making a welcomed appearance. This late start to the holiday season inspired me to include an overseas trip early in the touring calendar, a visit to Amsterdam where 7 million spring bulbs are planted by hand to create bursts of colour on the ground that rival any firework display. If, like me, you want to start summer early, you might enjoy a long tour of the French Riviera, where you can bask in gorgeous sunshine whilst fellow countrymen at home are still dreaming about sunny days.
Sunny days, however, are not always the most important part of a holiday. The location and company you share play a vital part in creating worthwhile memories you treasure long after the holiday is over. With this in mind, based on enthusiastic feedback from fellow SwanTourers following a successful Reunion Tour to Eastbourne last year, I've included the same hotel as part of our Festive Flavours tours. Festive Flavours are a perfect opportunity to celebrate Christmas early, featuring all the trimmings and comforts that make this time of year so special. An extra date in November to Cornish Comforts has also been added, where a wonderful variety of indoor visits to places like the Eden Project make the most of those dark winter days.
Whatever the season, this Winter, Christmas and Spring brochure has something to offer everyone. I hope you'll enjoy browsing these pages and planning your future holidays as much as I've enjoyed putting together truly memorable tours that make the most of your time, regardless of the season.
Wishing you a wonderful summer and happy travelling,
Tony Hunt
